Artscrawl is Albuquerque's monthly self-guided gallery tour - a project of the Albuquerque Art Business Association. Each month a different area of the city hosts Artscrawl with special events such as exhibition openings, artist receptions and demonstrations, benefits and open houses. The Artscrawl areas are the Northeast Heights, Historic Central Avenue (Route 66), and Old Town. You are directed through each Artscrawl with a map and information on the events at each gallery.

The goal of Artscrawl is to encourage casual gallery hopping and acquaint you with Albuquerque's art and artists. With no pressure to buy (although that is always appreciated), you can observe and enjoy the fine art, ask gallery owners questions about your own collection (existing or planned), meet the artists and learn about their techniques. It helps dispel the myth that art is for the elite ... Art is for all of us!

Member galleries represent a cross-section of Albuquerque's dynamic and diverse art scene with American Indian art, southwestern, ethnic and contemporary art, sculpture, fine art prints, classic work by internationally collected artists, eclectic exhibits and installations - in short, something for everyone from the casual gallery visitor to the most serious collector.

Member galleries subscribe to a "code of ethics" you may wish to read. You may also view the Artscrawl schedule through 2003..
