	The center was built in 1925 as a Methodist Boarding School for girls. The school closed in 1976 and Escuela del Sol Montessori took it over in the early 90s and refurbished it as a community art center. The Harwood Art Center is a community-based organization dedicated to the arts and education. We have five gallery spaces, 45 artist's studios, and produce a year-round schedule of visual, literary and movement arts classes for the community and artists.


	The Harwood Review Anthology, comprised of works published in the Harwood Review over the last two years, is a small but stunning selection of poems being offered, beacons that each of us can turn to when our time is right.
