The New Mexico Art League is a non-profit visual arts organization open to all artists and friends of the arts in the United States. Formed in 1929 by teachers and fine art students of the University of New
Mexico with the purpose of fostering interest in art by sponsoring exhibitions, purchasing art for a permanent collection, and promoting lectures pertaining to art. The Art League serves as a gallery, a meeting place for other
organizations, a location for educational activities and a place for artists and craftspersons to meet with a common goal.
The Art League offers a wide variety of art classes for adults and children including life drawing, oil painting, basic drawing, watercolors, sculpture, pastels and much more.
