Located at 516 Central Avenue between 5th and 6th Streets in the center of Downtown Albuquerque, 516 ARTS is an independent, non-profit art space - somewhere between a gallery and museum. Our mission at 516 ARTS is to serve as a museum-style gallery to attract audiences to Downtown Albuquerque for arts and culture activities; to forge links for the arts between Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and the greater Southwest region; and to establish Albuquerque as an art destination.
516 ARTS offers something for everyone, showcasing traditional and contemporary work and innovative, interdisciplinary projects. Programs include lectures and gallery talks, educational tours, live music at opening events, and poetry performances. Many of the exhibitions feature work for sale, with a portion of sales benefiting the gallery's public programs. 516 ARTS offers exhibition tours to individuals, organizations, and schools (elementary, high school, and college students). Programs include collaborations with museums and organizations of the region and beyond.
