This funky folk art gallery is owned by Kiko Torres who also operates a retail and wholesale store selling Mexican and other imported folk masks and art around the corner at 3106 Central Ave. S.E. in the historic Nob Hill business district. He and his partner recently launched a giclee printing business for artists and photographers as well.
The rich, mostly Hispanic objects of art selected for the gallery are by artists recognized for their talent. The first gallery show was for Oscar Lozoya, well-known Albuquerque photographer and the most recent show was for Magda Bowen, an up and coming young artist who creates colorful, graphic paintings in a vivid style of realism tempered by loose, physical brushwork.
