One of the newest multicultural galleries in Albuquerque, the gallery is located in The Antonio Vigil House Galleries a designated Historic Landmark. The Antonio Vigil House is a territorial style home built in 1836 during the pre-railroad boom. It was constructed of terrones (dried sod bricks) by Santiago Baca, a rancher, businessman, and politician. The Vigil family purchased the home in 1879, and it remains in the family to this day. The history of the building reflects the lasting quality of the fine art housed on this historic site.
Toni Che is a locally owned fine art gallery with a vision to give back to the community by helping promote the success and prosperity of our artists. Each of our artists brings a unique style representing many mediums including oil, pastel, photography, and sculpture. All of our artists collaborate in cultivating the development and skills of our communities next generation of artists. This is done through mentoring in the RISE Project, featuring the street art of under represented artist and introducing the works to a global international market.
